Senior Signing Day and NHS!

This is an exciting time of year! Soon, we will bid farewell to the class of 2019 but for now, we have much to celebrate. On May 21, the seniors announced their final decisions during Senior Signing Day and on May 24, thirteen students were inducted into the National Honor Society. We are beyond proud of our students and look forward to celebrating graduation of Friday, June 21. Click here to read the latest issue of Brimm News! which highlights both stories and more!

The Power of Art

The latest edition of Brimm News! is here. In this issue, we highlighted the work our students have created in art. In addition, our cover story features two seniors and their project “No More Empty Desks” to bring awareness about the impact of gun violence. The students painted desks which symbolize the thousands of children and teen killed from gun violence. For more about the project and the students, click here for an article published on Philly.com.

Happy Holidays from BMAHS!

We are in the last days of 2018 and ready for winter break! My classroom is filled with the sounds of students laughing, sharing their secret Santa gifts, and music. They truly are in the holiday spirit of giving. Yesterday, the Red Cross Club hosted a blood drive. Students and staff volunteered and donated blood. This time of year, the supply is low and student blood drives are one of the ways the Red Cross keeps up with their supply. During an exposures presentation, a representative from the Red Cross said that one pint of donated blood can save up to three lives. Our students truly go above and beyond for their community and we are so proud of them. In the latest issue of Brimm News!, we welcomed our new Lead Educator, Mr. Jesus Urdiales and the Class of 2019 celebrated homecoming. As we close out 2018, happy holidays from all of us at Brimm Medical Arts High School.
